Historical and Paranormal Research
Where the archives meet the unexplained.
Ancestral Research for Haunted Histories
At PennStory Paranormal, history and hauntings are never far apart. My work begins in the archives, where I examine land deeds, wills, maps, and family records, and continues in the field, where I investigate the places where the past still lingers. By combining meticulous historical research with on-site paranormal investigation, I uncover the stories that connect the living to those who came before us.
Looking Beyond the Ghost Story
With a BA in English, a PLCGS certification, and years of experience in Western Pennsylvania research, I approach each case with precision and historical accuracy. Genealogy allows me to follow the paper trail of a haunting—revealing who lived there, how the property changed hands, and what events may have left their mark. Often, the documents tell a story long before any paranormal equipment is turned on.
Connecting the Dots Between the Past and the Present
When we know who a spirit may be, we can better understand why they remain. Ancestral research provides the timeline, relationships, and personal history that give context to unexplained events. This might mean discovering a family feud, a long-forgotten tragedy, or a historic event that shaped the location’s energy. It’s about finding the human story at the heart of every haunting.
History Lives On
When we know who a spirit may be, we can better understand why they remain. Not every piece of research leads to a ghost, but every story is worth preserving. I document findings carefully so that the history of the people and the place is never lost. Whether it’s for personal understanding, a public talk, or a case file, each narrative is handled with respect and accuracy.
